What else could I do but share my experience, hope and positive attitude with the world, I am so proud of having beaten cancer 3 times.The film is full of all the information you will need to know if you are about to go through Radiotherapy or Chemotherapy treatment, or have a friend or relative who is going through it. It was all filmed live and shows the in and outs of the treatments and what it involves, dispelling some myths about cancer. I have done a lot of research and asked a lot of questions about cancer as well as going through the treatments. It has taken 6 yrs. to complete the filming, which covers many areas of the treatments.

I wanted to create something that I would be happy to look at as a patient, so I scripted the dialogue to make it easy to understand. Focusing on keeping it simple and uncomplicated, has allowed me to create an incredible piece of film, which is basically a visual aid to anyone who is curious, or seeking information about cancer. I found that the trouble with written information is that as children we are taught to use our imagination when reading anything, to enable us to see the images that the author wants us to see, through their style of writing.                                                

For me, the written information, though very informative, was cunjuring up images in my mind that were not very nice, and it caused me a lot of anxiety. However, when I came to actually have the tests done or get the treatment, I discovered that my imagination had run away with me, and it was not as bad as it had seemed.

It was then that I decided to look for another media to get my information from, and it was then I discovered that there was not a visual source of good information which would answer my questions, hence the need to create one, and that is how this Idea came about.This film now enables the viewer to actually watch a real person having the treatments that their loved ones or themselves will receive during the time of their cancer experience, this is especially important to people who are some distance from their loved ones, and are getting third hand information over the phone. Now they can sit and watch the treatment being administered as it would be to their loved ones. Cancer treatment is NOT as bad as we are led to believe by the media, I know because I have experienced the different forms of treatment in conventional use.                                

As the film unfolds I am seen talking to Radiographers and nurses to show the viewer there is no pain or discomfort, as when you watch some of the film it does appear as if there is. I hope that by producing this unique product it will not only dispel many myths about cancer and the treatments, but also ease the stress and anxiety that everyone naturally feels when someone close is going through it. I hope I have done a good job, and that the film brings you some comfort in knowing that cancer is no longer the dreadful plague it used to be, and that modern day medical and scientific advances are making it much easier, and comfortable to fight this dreadful disease. the DVD is available to everyone.
